Bringing positivity and connections in times of uncertainty, that was the idea behind the campaign “Together we are Hilversum”. Hilversum Marketing saw many great initiatives emerge in Hilversum and decided to bring them together on the Corona blog on the website, where as much positive news as possible was shared, where people could go for tips and trips for working from home, working out at home and to support local entrepreneurs.

Hilversum Marketing also called upon residents of the city to record a short home video to show what their home situation looks like during the pandemic. A cool videoclip made up of those videos has been released.

In addition, the residents of Hilversum were asked to collectively hang the so-called “Spread the Love-poster” in front of their window in order to send some extra love to their neigbours and all residents of Hilversum. Letting people know you’re thinking of them and support them was the approach.

The means of communication used for this campaign are: the website (on a special theme page), social media, outdoor: animation screens and A0 signs, advertisements, posters and PR.
